In 1901 he was resident in Great Harwood, 120 Queen St. In 1911 he was resident in Blackburn, Lancashire, England, Great Harwood. In 1911 he was a Grocer's Assistant. In 1915 he was resident in Great Harwood, 45 St Lawrence St. In 1915 he was a Grocer. On 10 May 1916 he was a Soldier: East Lancs Regiment: Lance Corporal. In 1916 he was Roman Catholic. He was described as having a Distinctive mark: Sear on forehead in 1916. In 1918 he was resident in Great Harwood, 32 Queens St. On 14 February 1919 he was a Demomilised.
