Thomas HARDIKER , 3 son of Mark HARDACRE (1836-1924) and Mary Ann DUXBURY (1835-1907), was born on 21 January 1860 in Ribchester. 4 In 1861 he was resident in Ribchester, Stony Gate Lane. In 1871 he was resident in Ribchester, In 1881 he was resident in Ribchester, Higher Alston. He married Martha Ann WARD on 24 December 1884 in Ribchester. 5 In 1891 he was resident in Ribchester, Church St. In 1891 he was a Butcher. In 1901 he was a Railway Carter. In 1901 he was resident in Great Harwood, 120 Queen St. In 1911 he was resident in Blackburn, Great Harwood. In 1911 he was a Butcher. He died in 1942 in Darwen, Lancashire, England. 6 He and Ellen ALSTON had the following children:

 

Henry Herbert HARDIKER (1892-1959). Henry was born in 1892 in Ribchester, Preston, Lancashire, England. 7 He was baptised on 3 April 1892 in Ribchester. In 1901 he was resident in Great Harwood, 120 Queen St. In 1911 he was resident in Blackburn, Great Harwood. In 1911 he was a Grocer's Assistant. In 1915 he was resident in Great Harwood, 45 St Lawrence St. In 1915 he was a Grocer. On 10 May 1916 he was a Soldier: East Lancs Regiment: Lance Corporal. In 1916 he was Roman Catholic. He was described as having a Distinctive mark: Sear on forehead in 1916. In 1918 he was resident in Great Harwood, 32 Queens St. He married Alice HARTLEY on 29 October 1918 in Our Lady and St Hubert, Great Harwood (registrar attended). 8 On 14 February 1919 he was a Demomilised. He died in 1959 in Darwen. 9

Mary Lizzie HARDIKER (1901- ). Mary was born in 1901 in Blackburn. 10 In 1911 she was resident in Blackburn, Great Harwood.
